This is an old revision of the document!
(not all of these are bad. personally, banjo-kazooie non-voice-acting is a great alternative to dead silence, if you can't afford voice talent)
traditional bingo has 15 per column, so 75 total. theoretically that's “plenty” - if you bleed columns, you don't need as many. if you have very few players, you can arguably get away with just 24? with exactly one player you definitely only need 24.
we're up to 21.
- shit's locked (free space)
- “sprint” = barely walk any faster
- no hints about the keymap
- bug that blocks progress
- player has no reflection
- world's worst flashlight
- setting change via blackout
- crawling through an air vent
- inexplicably enormous real estate
- split the party
- game freezes
- jump scare was just a nightmare
- spelling/grammar error undermines emotional moment
- ambient spooky music, cue-ing nothing
- goofy physics undermine emotional moment
- starting the plot requires the protag doing something utterly moronic (plugging a random USB into your computer)
- the twist is that it was me; i'm the one who murdered by beautiful, loving, typically pregnant wife
- banjo kazooie non-voice-acting
- VCR font
- broader plot is opaque (“we're X hours in, wtf is going on?”)
- immediate objective is unclear
- crash to desktop is intentional narrative moment
