twitch allows streamers to post a schedule. (insert joke here about streamers sticking to a schedule, snicker snicker.) a few years later, you were allowed to export that as an iCal. However, twitch fucked it up. this guy, pinjasaur, details the issue - that link is dead atm, so reproduced here: twitch fucked up the formatting and the tiemzone is always wrong. Hero of the story pinjasaur solves the problem with the gracious hosting of val.town, which is basically cheap hosting of short javascript functions - you give pinjasaur's “val” a broadcaster id, then query it, it returns you a *fixed* ics.

tl;dr:

1. pick the twitch channel. For this example, SilverMeddlists.
2. find that twitch channel's broadcaster id. this service offers to look up the broadcaster id for a given twitch username. (they use the term “convert”, which is wrong) (or you can go through the API). SilverMeddlists' is 598251923.
3. you have now constructed an ical subscription link: https://pinjasaur-twitch.web.val.run/?broadcaster_id=[broadcaster id]. so SilverMeddlists' would be https://pinjasaur-twitch.web.val.run/?broadcaster_id=598251923.
4. subscribe to that.
